Last month, Fujitsu in Japan unveiled IS12T, declared the first cellphone running on Windows phone 7.5 aka mango. And the country's second largest mobile carrier (and exclusive supplier of phone) KDDI au, not losing a lot of time: IS12T became available today, and here (this is Fujitsu, official press release in English today).

As we reported earlier, mango tubes, comes with a 3.7 inch LCD 800 × 480 resolution, 13.2 MP CMOS camera, the body is water and shock proof 32 GB internal memory, support the microUSB port, IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi (do not bind), DLNA, GSM/CDMA, etc.

There are nine languages for user interface, and IS12T is available in three colors "Neon" (citrus fruits, black, purple).

I went to the store only a mobile phone in my area today, having a look at the phone, but unfortunately, I got a few pictures (see above) and play around with it for a few minutes before I had to leave (not video photo no).

My first impression was that the phone itself felt light and thin, but very cheap and plasticky (I couldn't give Xbox Live, Internet Explorer and other apps spin because Wi-Fi and 3 G have been turned off – within a few minutes, I played with it, the UI felt great).

Price-Wise IS12T is located at the upper end of the spectrum for mobile phones in Japan: storage (and all other retailers, for that matter) implements the phone up to $955 (but with steep discounts in certain circumstances). So if Fujitsu really starts selling mobile phone outside Japan (they have international plans), don't expect it will be a budget model.

Failbook phone: AT&T, already is looking to ditch the HTC status, says source

Surprise! Even a clever little trick as custom button Facebook cannot save a bad phone from an early death.

After only 36 days on the shelves of a trusted source, close to AT&T tells us that the carrier had already prepping to ditch HTC so-called "Facebook phone" status. The Reason For This? Things just don't sell.

Since the original tipster forward, we have confirmed with several sources of sales status much lower than expected. AT&T declined to comment.

To say that we foresaw the fate of status will be something of an understatement. The status was originally launched as ChaCha back at Mobile World Congress, where I stated that Chacha (real-time response companies) likely will not be too kindly name — and of course, Chacha turned around and filed a lawsuit against HTC over the weekend. When AT&T announced plans for the device (now called status), we predicted fail due to lack of exhausting and we're here just over a month post-launch rumor that the death knell for this time to prepare for the melody.

For those who may have missed status update state is Android phone in the same vein as the classic BlackBerry (2.8 touchscreen on top, with a QWERTY keyboard below) — design, which, if we are honest, probably most of the status of weak sales. The status of one of the potential saving grace was its context-sensitive button Facebook — a small, dedicated key placed next to the bottom edge of the tube strictly built one click Facebook sharing. At any time the user was browsing the content that could be shared on Facebook (photos, videos or website), the button will automatically light up. When pushed, the content will be packed and pushed into the Facebook user profile.

For what it's worth even Facebook never seemed all that interested in HTC'S efforts. Mark Zuckerberg called it in with the HTC initial announcement, providing a short, versatile video instead of the actual appearance. Even with a fair amount of time spent on Facebook headquarters in no time any of us here at TechCrunch have seen Facebook employee carrying status. They all seem to use iPhones.

Update: AT&T now decided to go on record with the comment, saying "the status of the HTC is a great product and have not changed our plans to be a part of our portfolio.

We've seen a lot of interesting patents from Apple in the last few days, but Microsoft loves patent stuff too — and they were given only a bunch of nice little designs for mobile phones in a special format and some Kinect slider and mouse tech for download.

They are patenting a simple slider, of course. They are patenting several specific designs of the sliding mechanism, which, after you finish sliding action, keyboard and screen are mostly similar to the plane. "i.e., mainly the flush. Check this:

Potentially, the advantage is more comfortable typing experience. Many complained to recruit around G1's "Chin", and other phones with sunken keyboards have similar problems. My problem with the design as it is that additional loops and such may increase weight and sturdiness. The second design looks more interesting, however, reduce the display, rather than increasing the keyboard. That actually could work.

I'd like to see is some patents on the slider keyboard with keys that are actually fun to type on. Or maybe a slide-out keyboard for tablets that do not increase the weight of the thing at 500%.

Microsoft also received a patent that explicitly refers to Kinect is the definition of the potential of space to gestures and track user's movement within a cone. I wouldn't say this is particularly interesting, but if you are interested in Kinect and Microsoft for its implementation, it could make for some fun reading this weekend.

More up my alley, Microsoft has patented a method of interaction with games through multi-touch mice. I'm very surprised this patent came because the games just a form of software, and must be hundreds of patents in the game on the interaction of the software and multi-touch surface. Mostly I liked looking at patent because they use illustrations that times back in the days of yore when multi-touch mice were a novel proposal.

As it turns out, we spent most of the specification is already bound. What we didn't know what low resolution shooter front-facing will clock in at 1.3 megapixels and phone for some runs Android 2.3 cookies out of the box.

Along with the already known features include single-core processor 1 GHz, 3.2 rear shooter (with flash and zoom in tow), Sprint ID and 3.5 inch touch screen with 320 × 480 pixels resolution. Obviously Conquer 4 (G) not what you call a beast, but at the price it will certainly get the job done.
