As befits a global empire of technology, Apple seems to always have a large number of patents in moderation. The last shipment of this interesting combination, with standout patents, originally from back in 2007 and most recently, in 2010. The current buzz around the patent system will not die down any time soon, so I try not to conclusions too much here, but some of them seem to be a little more legitimate than others.

The largest victory for Apple probably visual voicemail interface patent. Opponents of patenting software in General, Gird themselves for battle.

Patent 7 996, 792 was submitted on 28 June 2007, the day before the iPhone was introduced. It covers computer implemented method for managing voice messages» and playback controls. While certainly predates the iPhone Visual playback and voice messages, this patent is much more closely linked with the rest of the Apple multi-touch and the initial iPhone patents whose legitimacy as a unique concept of an invention may be a matter for discussion, but the legal legitimacy of which should not be in dispute now. User interface is described in this patent, which makes it almost impossible to abuse and mooting any patent war criticism directly solely on 7, 996, 792. Steve jobs and Scott Forstall are major accounts for credit on this issue.

More disturbing is the method for violations of the startup order of the element that is not is very specific and is patent for real-time priority items downloaded. During startup, if the user chooses to iTunes or photos before other things finished downloading in the background, it then loads the libraries and data for this item, first at the next boot. BIOS and boot managers allow for this kind of reordering for a long time and although I don't know the specifics of how it is processed, I had to guess, that run the application until the download is complete, all background Windows services (for example) changes the immediate priority in real time, although it does not store this information at a later date.

Much less controversy Apple also was given two rather significant hardware patents. The first method of production can lead to thinner Burger touchscreen display, details of which are very technical. The second is a part of the mounting system for desktop PC is a little lock and unlock PCI and other components easier. It was filed way back in 2008, however, so it seems about as likely as they are sealed enclosure increased the strength of the new desktop in the works. Nevertheless, it is good to think about.

There's more info (and links to other 16 patents merely to Apple) more than clearly Apple.
