Vuzix now ship their wrap 1200 3Ds, couple $ 500 points (headtracking model under the name 1200VR is coming later this month), which displays 75-inch virtual screen in front of your face and supports 3D content. You have a separate focus settings for each each eye and both light and small as a standard pair of glasses.
Vuzix 1200s allow you to wear your own lenses under the device.
I used previously Vuzix video eyewear for flights before and, with the exception of Dork feel wearing glasses video experience quite interesting and impressive. Now however, with HD, 3D and a huge screen these things really could replace the standard monitor in certain situations.
Points include headphones for audio and you can purchase additional DVI adapters and light shields, as well as the head position sensor for more advanced tricks like real-time VR. The future, as they say, is already here. He's just not evenly distributed.
