Clearwire takes LTE, not only is Ditching WiMax

logo

Wow. Clearwire just dropped a bombshell today, so I'll spare you my usual theatrics: operators of the nation's first 4 G network, felt the momentum picks up his rival LTE, announced that they will add "Advanced LTE technology ready" his service only previously WiMax 4 G.

Of course Clearwire quick to reaffirm their commitment to their existing WiMax network (and customers), but with Clearwire CTO Dr. John saw referring to them as "the future of LTE Mobile Broadband," one can certainly smell the change in the air.

It is expected that the introduction of LTE center around major urban areas in their existing markets for WiMax, in an attempt to meet the high demand for 4 G services.

Don't expect their LTE victims to go live soon, though: they are still awaiting some much need for funding before their execution plans will be crowned with success. I hope this will happen sooner rather than later — with LTE advanced peak potentially mobile download speeds of at least 100 Mbit/s, should be able to satiate even hungry fiends data whenever it lights up.

It's definitely a big (and potentially very profitable) leap for Clearwire. They partner Sprint booth to pick up quite a bit of market share by offering more competitive 4 G performance, all while flying under the motto "the nation's first 4 G network. The fact that the same branding 4 G will continue for the foreseeable future, actually strikes at the heart of the deep question: is it really important if LTE better than WiMax? Most of the clients, how I love them, see 4 G and click question any of the rest of us nerds network will continue to argue about real v. declared data speed, while Mr. Joe On the go-to gain all the same.
